Ernestine Doughty

DOUGHTY, Ernestine Delores - Age 85, of Detroit, died Thursday, January 13, 2022.   A service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.  Minister Denise Cochran officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Ernestine was born November 8, 1936 in Ft. Wayne, IN, the daughter of Ernest and Margaret (Mosley) Smith.  She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Portland, OR.  She had resided in Detroit for the past 30 years coming from Flint.  She owned and operated Cox Restaurant in Flint and she owned and managed real estate in the Detroit area. Surviving are: her children, Ronald Ernest Doughty of Detroit, Roxanne T. Harrison of Flint, and Marguerite R. Woods of Flint; grandchildren, Nicole M. Harrison of Colorado, CO, David I. Harrison of Norfolk, VA, Jasmine I. Woods-Jones of Flint, Eugene Fears of Flint, Michelle Edwards of Grand Rapids, Demetrius Boaz of Flint, Demetrion Boaz of Flint, and Deanna Delores Boaz of Flint; great grandchildren, Jayce Jones and Jahzara Irvin; and her Detroit family, William Woods, Helena (Woods) Dudley, Tony, Lena, John, Angel, Faith, Jasmine, Sadir, Tyrico, and Roice II.
