Ernest Tippett

TIPPETT, Ernest Prescott " Ernie" -- Age 101 of Swartz Creek, died October 12, 2016. Services will be held 11 AM Monday October 17 at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 711 S. Saginaw Street, Flint. Rev. Dan Scheid officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM until time of service at the church on Monday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, charity of ones choice, or McLaren Hospice. Ernie was born October 4, 1915 in England the son of Richard and Ethelreda (Prescott) Tippett. He married Irene Hickman on April 25, 1942 in Flint she preceded him in death on October 31, 2009. He graduated from Flint Central High School. He was employed at AC as an Assistant Superintendent retiring in 1977 with 41 years of services. Ernie was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church. He was also a member of the Flint Masonic Temple. He shared his life long passion for photography with others. He is survived by his children, Sharon Jane (Lawrence) Tarrant of Pittsburgh, PA. Richard Edward (Linda) Tippett of Maumee Ohio, Suzanne Losey of Swartz Creek; brother in law, Jack Hickman of Grand Rapids; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
