ORTIZ, Ernest "Ernie" "Big E" Jr. - Age 56 , of Grand Blanc, died Monday, May 23, 2016. Per his wishes, Ernie was donated to the University of Michigan Anatomical Donation Program. A celebration of life will be held 3PM Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Wooden Keg, 1940 W. Hemphill Road, Flint. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family or the Genesee County Humane Society. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Ernie was born July 26, 1959 in Flint, the son of the late Ernest L. and Emma (Yado) Ortiz. He enjoyed darts, fantasy football, fishing, watching sports and was an avid bowler. Ernie was currently employed for the past 33 years at the G.M. Metal Fabricating plant as a team operator. Surviving are: daughters, Sara Ortiz of Hartland, Amanda Jenkins of Grand Blanc; niece, Shea Ortiz of Flint; sister, Ernestine Castillo of NV; brothers, Jesse Ortiz of NV, Oscar Ortiz IN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also proceeded in death his brother, Leonard Ortiz and special Aunt, Mary Alonzo.
