Loucks, Ernest Clifford - Age 72 of Pinckney, passed away at home the morning of Saturday, August 15, 2020. A private memorial service will be held at Brighton United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton.
Ernie was born March 30, 1948 in Reed City, Michigan to Ernest and Dora (Fedewa) Loucks. He was a 1966 graduate of Clio High School and also attended Glendale Community College and Saginaw Valley University. On October 19, 1968 he married Rebecca “Elaine” Seuberth in Clio, MIchigan. He served in the United States Air Force through the Strategic Air Command. Following his military service, he worked in the field of electronics and retired from University of Michigan Hospitals.
Ernie loved life and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, biking, kayaking, and gardening. He also enjoyed traveling, reading and history. He always had an on going project at home. He enjoyed his fellowship with the Men With Tools group at church and was also a member of the VFW. He was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church. He loved God and his family and cherished activities with family and friends.
Ernie leaves behind: his wife Elaine, children Melissa (Jeff) Kruszka, Brian (Julie) Loucks and Kristen (Kevin) Matie, and grandsons Alexander Nauman, Landon Matie, Andrew Matie, Chandler Matie, and Brandt Matie. He also leaves behind his stepmother Earline Loucks and siblings Sharon Brown, Dawn (George) Rathfon, Deb (Rob) Larsen, Lee (Anna) Cross, Penni (Carl) Marsa, Tammi (Tommy) Williams ; sister in-laws Connie (Don) Jenkins, Kim (Tim) Thompson and step grandchildren Mike, Katie, Celeste, Sophia, and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his grandson Logan Nauman, parents, and brothers Robert Loucks and Rob Cross. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
