Ernest Craig

CRAIG, Ernest Stanley "Ernie" - Age 92, of Bad Axe formerly of Flushing, MI, died Friday, March 4, 2022.   No services will be held.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

Ernie was born February 12, 1930 in Pontiac, the son of Alexander and Josephine Caroline (Reinke) Craig.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He married Velma May Cowgill March 5, 1949 in Covington, KY and she preceded him in death June 13, 2014.  He retired in 1982 from the Harold Paper Company in Pontiac as the warehouse supervisor.  He was a musician and was a member of Ernie Craig and the Cutaways  for 23 years.

Surviving are: his son, Ernest Michael and wife Jeanne Craig of Stokesdale, NC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sally Morrow; and several brothers and sisters.  The family wishes to extend special thanks to Heartland Hospice and the wonderful staff at Fiddler's Green.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
