Ernest Bowman

BOWMAN, Ernest Hugh - Age 83, of Flint, died June 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, June 19, 2017 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle 4475 Linden Rd.. Flint.Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint; and 9 - 10 AM Monday at the Church. Pastor Brian Oswald and Pastor Dan Blankenship officiating. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Contributions may be made to Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Ernest was born June 22,1933 in Flint, the son of Ernest R. and Grace L. (Root) Bowman. Ernest proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Marsha J. Doidge in Flint on July 9,1993. Ernest was employed at G.M. for 21 years retiring in 1987. He was a member Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Ernest enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by: his wife, Marsha; children, Cheryl (Jarrod Sanborn) Carey, Gayle (Wyn) Wilson, and Rhonda (Lloyd) Williams; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Donna) Bowman; sister, Janice Bowman; several nieces and nephews; and his loving pets, Mylee, Caylee, and KiKi. Ernest also leaves behind, his Church Family at Glad Tidings Tabernacle and friends at Crossroads Temple Church of God. Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice.
