Emma Almassy

ALMASSY, Emma - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died September 6, 2006 at her residence. Services will be held 4:30 PM Friday, September 8, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor J.D. Landis officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Mrs. Almassy was born April 5, 1921 to Daniel and Emma (Sutto) Kosik. She married Joseph Almassy in November, 1939 in Flint. She was a dedicated member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; son, Robert and wife Carolyn Almassy of Alexandria, VA; daughter, Patricia and husband Dr. Ronald Bradley of Williamston, MI; one sister, Elizabeth Bock of Madawan, MI; five grandchildren, Cynthia (Joe) Strollo, Michael (Debra) Almassy, Darryl Almassy, Christopher Bradley and Sara Bradley; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan Strollo, Emma and Abigail Almassy. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret Austin; and one brother, Daniel Kosik. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
