Emilia Elizabeth Coakes

COAKES, Emilia Elizabeth - age 88, of Flint, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Fostrian Manor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, June 16, 2006 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Owosso. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. Coakes was born August 17, 1917 in Guttenburg, NJ, the daughter of Paul and Bertha (Janoska) Chavora. She married Joseph Coakes on April 10, 1937. Surviving are: husband, Joseph of Flint; two daughters, Suzanne Gaylord of Grand Blanc; Diane and husband, Gary Spence of Swartz Creek; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a great neighborhood of friends.
