KVASNICA, Emil - Age 103, of Flint, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held 1030 am Monday, September 16, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI. Those desiring may make contribution to Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430. 

Mr. Kvasnica was born July 6, 1921 in Flint, the son of Charles and Mary (Bednar) Kvasnica. He was a WWII veteran serving in Central Europe, Normandy Northern France and Rhineland Ardennes. He received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars and Good Conduct Medal. He had resided in the Flint area his entire life. He married Gwendolyn G. Bartz January 19, 1953 in Flint and she preceded him in death February 9, 1973. Mr. Kvasnica retired from GM Fisher Body Grand Blanc after 45 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #1292. He enjoyed bicycling, line dancing and swimming. 

Surviving are: daughter, Kathleen (Gilbert) Harrington of Linden; son, Jon Kvasnica (Carol Kraemer) of Heber, AZ; granddaughter, Angela (Ryan) Kvasnica-Hendley of Burton; sister-in-law, Vera Kvasnica of Davison; and nephew, Wayne Kvasnica of Davison. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Steve and Sam Kvasnica and David Kasper. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
