Elvin Lawson

LAWSON, Elvin M. - age 87, of Swartz Creek, passed away December 7, 2019. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM,  December 10, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road. A Committal Service with Air Force Honors will follow at 12:30 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Visitation 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the funeral home.

Elvin was born March 3,1932 in Meridian, MS the son of Artie J. and Alice (Freeman) Lawson. He married Vivian L. White in Flint on December 26, 1954. Elvin proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from G.M. Buick Motor Division. Elvin enjoyed gardening, and refurbishing cars.

Surviving are: wife Vivian; children, Charlotte Lawson, Terry (Daphine) Lawson, and Jamie Lawson; grandchildren, Ashley (Brett) Carlson; great grandson, Zander Carlson; sister; Irma Taylor; brother in law, Lowell White; sister in law, Cheryl Finn; nieces, Patricia, Elaine, and Linda; nephew, Jackie.
