Elvera Adeline GIRARD

GIRARD, Elvera Adeline - Age 85, of Fenton, died September 24, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 26, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, Michigan Chapter or the Genesee County Humane Society. Elvera was born December 25, 1925 in Grand Blanc, the daughter of Clyde and Margaret Spencer. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1943 and was married to Robert C. Girard in 1946; he preceded her in death in 1980. Surviving are: children, Linda (Peter) Lorch, Brenda (Arthur) Parnell, Robert (Deborah) Girard; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Robert; parents; a brother and two sisters. Special thanks to Stacey and the staff of Grace Hospice.
