Elsie Debeck

DeBeck, Elsie M. - Age 95 of Grand Blanc passed away on July 4, 2014 with her daughter Florence, granddaughter Sandra, and grandsons Gary and Greg by her side. Elsie was under the loving, and compassionate care of Heartland Hospice. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, at the Church of the Holy Family, 11714 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 11-8PM at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home Monday evening at 7PM. The family request that no flowers be sent to the funeral home, but rather have contributions be made to Heartbeat, Heartland Hospice, or a charity of one's choice if desired.. Elsie was born on January 22, 1919 in Deford, Michigan to John and Cecilia Marsh (Wilkinson). Elsie married Kermit R. DeBeck on January 22, 1937 in Kingston. For many years Elsie was employed at the Holy Family School as a cook. She was also active in numerous social organizations such as The Church of the Holy Family in Grand Blanc, the St. Joseph Guild, 55 and over group at the Church of the Holy Family, and the Red Hat Tootsies, she was also a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. Elsie was adored, and will be missed by all of her family and friends. Elsie is survived by her two daughters, Florence Owens, and Judie Groleau, as well as Rod Groleau, and Debbie DeBeck; GrandChildren, Matthew Groleau, Michael(Anne) Groleau, Carley DeBeck, Ashley(Matt)Klank, Sandra(Larry)Archambeau, Greg Owens, Gary(Lynn) Owens, Nan Owens; Great Grandchildren, Katie Owens, Kristy(Mitch)Johnston, Joseph Owens, Christopher Groleau, Charlotte Groleau, Chad(Mary)Archambeau, Tracy(Brenda) Archambeau, Steven Owens, Arianna Owens, Abbi Owens, and Lena DeBeck; Great Great Grandchild, Brooklyn Owens. As well as several nieces and nephews. Elsie Is preceded in death by her husband Kermit, son Kermit, and two grandsons Joe and Terry.
