BROWN, Elsie Mae - Age 94, of Doniphan, MO, Flint and Linden, died Monday, June 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Argentine Church of the Nazarene, 16248 Seymour Rd, Linden. Pastor Robert Lindsay officiating. Visitation will be held 1-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Louis Church of God Camp Ground or Argentine Church of the Nazarene. Elsie was born October 11, 1920 in Doniphan, MO, the daughter of Joe and Minnie (Pickens) Hampton. She married Olaf Reed Brown February 18, 1939 in Doniphan, MO and they were married 72 years; he preceded her in death on February 18, 2011. She was a member of the Doniphan Church of God in MO, Holbrook Church of God and Dupont Street Church of God in Flint. She attended the Church of God camp ground in St. Louis, MI. She taught Sunday School, was active in the youth ministries and sang in the choir for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was devoted to the love and word of God. She lived by true example everyday of her blessed life. Elsie is survived by her children, Victor (Karen) Brown of Fenton, Janice (Donald) Nowiki of Argentine, Shirley (Mark) Zwirzynski of Gaines; seven grandchildren, Martin (Brenda) Brown, Dennis Brown Jr., Laurie (Rob) Unsel, Christopher (Darcel) Brown, Christine (Rick) Powelson, Cindy (Michael) Drake, Cheri (Shannon) Kelsey; 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson; brothers, Vernon (Linda) Hampton, Proctor Hampton; sister, Opal Lomax all of Doniphan, MO; brother-in-law, Harold (Evelyn) Brown; several nieces and nephews and her large church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dennis Brown; brother, Truman Hampton; infant daughter, Charlotte Ann Brown.
