Ellen Marie Ward

Ward, Ellen M.  Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with  Dr. Jerry W. Pitman officiating. Internment will be held at 3:30 PM at Lakeview Cemetery, Howell, MI. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday and 1 PM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Gerholtz Counseling Center at First Presbyterian Church, Flint. Mrs. Ward was born September 19, 1929 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of John and Marie (Gee) OBrien. Ellen was a graduate of Howell High School. She was employed as a cook at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon House and The Oasis on M59 for 30 years, retiring in 1991. Surviving are: daughters, Helen Carol (Dale) Hostetler of Grand Blanc; Sarah (Jim) Santala of Flushing; Shelia (Eric) Zwierzynski of Linden; Charmayne (Michael) Tower of Swartz Creek; son, John (Jodi) Ward of Perry; 13 grandchildren, Kim Hostetler, Adam Hostetler, Matthew Santala, Patrick Santala, Rebecca Santala, Scott Zwierzynski, April Zwierzynski, Heather Parnell, Nicholas Parnell, Charles Ward, Corey Ward, Dakota Ward, Shelby Waid; sister Patricia (Howard) Seigle of Hobe Sound, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
