Ellen Marie MORAN

MORAN, Ellen Marie, age 100, of Flushing, passed peacefully away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday February 1, 2012. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30AM Saturday February 4, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 11110 N. Saginaw, Mt. Morris. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating. Interment to follow mass at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held Thursday 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. and Friday 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with a rosary being prayed at 6:30p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 10:30a.m. until time of mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Ellen was born in Breckinridge, MI on September 15, 1911 to Frank and Mary Elizabeth Lenhart. She worked at A.C. Spark Plug for 13 years before marrying Simon Moran On May 24, 1941. Ellen's favorite pastime was bowling. She was the oldest person on the Genesee County League. Unfortunately, she had to quit bowling at age 97, due to a loss of vision. Ellen loved her life, her family, cards and playing the slots. She is survived by her children, Marilynn, Mike (Linda), Mary Ellen and son-in-law, Ike Oyer; grandchildren, Keith, Kent (Terry) Stillwagon, Kathleen (Dennis) Suttle, Roger and Traci Brelinski, Shelly (Darik) Jay, Scott and Shane Moran; great-grandchildren, Sean (Kim), Kayla, Christopher, Nicholas, Kairos, Jayden, Chase, Caitlyn and Casandra. She was preceded in death by her husband Simon; daughter, Laura Oyer; brothers, Raymond and Frank Lenhart; sisters, Leona Boyer and Nina Schwind.
