Ellen Fraser

FRASER, Ellen Merwin (Wiggins) - Age 87, of Fenton, died September 14, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held on October 25th at Lockwood of Fenton (16300 Silver Parkway, Fenton, MI 48430) beginning at Noon. Join us in honoring this extraordinary woman. She has been a positive influence on many people. Those desiring may make contributions to Rotary International-Paul Harris Foundation Unrestricted Funds or Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter. Ellen was born July 16, 1927 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Delbert and Edith (Cooley) Wiggins. She was married to Douglas Arthur Fraser on September 24, 1947 in Rochester, MI; he preceded her in death on October 9, 2009. Ellen was a graduate of Stephens College and Wayne State University. She retired from Warner-Lambert-Parke-Davis-Pfizer in 1983 after 23 years of service. Following retirement she was employed by St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Fraser Group, Inc, Lake Orion Sport and Marine, JR Enterprise and Fox River Books. Ellen was a member of American Business Women's Association, where she was Woman of the Year in 1978 and 1993, Arthritis Foundation and Rotary Annes, where she was the Paul Harris Fellow in 1990. Surviving are: sons, Mark (Patricia) Fraser, Paul Fraser, Eric (Marjorie) Fraser; grandchildren, Tiersa (Eric) Hilburn, Phillip Fraser, Ashley Allen, Katherine, Michael and Kelly Fraser; great-granddaughter, Stella Hilburn; brothers, Thomas Wiggins, David (Sylvia) Wiggins; sisters, Jane Thocher, Margaret (John) Marshak.
