ROTH, Elleen A. - Age 96, died peacefully July 30, 2016. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, August 4, 2016 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army. She was born in Flint, February 24, 1920 and married Blume Roth in 1939. They started an electrical wholesale business in 1954. Mrs. Roth was active in civic affairs and was a member of the Zonta Club, the Girl Scout Board and a life member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. Surviving are: son, Terry; grandchildren, Lisa Roth, Carla (Kenn) Oglesbee, Kelly (Bonnie) Roth; six great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Blume and son, Jan. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army. The family wishes to give a very special Thank You to the staff of Courtyard Manor of Swartz Creek for the loving care they gave Elleen.
