Ella Catherine Hampton Wilson

WILSON, Ella Catherine Hampton - age 87, of St. Helen, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association. Mrs. Wilson was born November 28, 1918 in Rankin, the daughter of John G. and Grace Ella (Olcott) Tahash. She married Cloyce E. Hampton on June 21, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1978. She then married Kenneth W. Wilson on September 26, 1987 in Linden and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1993. Mrs. Wilson retired from Carmen Ainsworth Schools in 1989 after 11 years of service. Ella was a beloved caretaker and always the first person to arrive with food and comfort at a time of crisis for a friend or family member. She will be sadly missed by her surviving family members: two sisters-in-law, Victoria (Gerald) Tahash, Vivian (Bernard) Tahash; three nephews, Kevon Tahash, Gerald Tahash, Ronald Tahash; six nieces, Dolores (Joe) Pobocik, Janet (Jim) Hintze, Minada Carroll, Dorothy (Bill) Johnson, Yvonne (Terry) Vohwinkle, Pam (Nick) Calugaru; 24 great-nieces and nephews; many, many great-great nieces and nephews; friends and caregivers, Carol and Alan Harris and Toni Lisecki.
