STRBIK, Ella Marie  Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Alterra Clare Bridge of Grand Blanc. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1 PM Saturday, February 12, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM Thursday and 2-5 and 6-9 Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association, American Caner Society or the American Lung Association (for Asthma research). Mrs. Strbik was born October 23, 1914 in Midland, the daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth (Ivan) Skamelka. She married Joseph J. Strbik, Sr. on February 22, 1936 and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1975. Mrs. Strbik was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She loved gardening, flowers, dogs and other animals. She enjoyed bowling and volunteered for the American Red Cross in her younger years. Surviving are: three children, Philip Strbik and wife, Judy of Flint, Joseph Strbik, Jr. and wife, Judie of Traverse City, Barbara and husband, Bernard Romain of Grand Blanc; 10 grandchildren, Suzann and husband, George Bertels, Christine and husband, Tom Marion, Lisa Strbik, Todd Strbik, Garret Strbik, Scott Strbik, Diane Matteucci, Jo Ann Bernier, Jennifer and husband, Robert Hogan, Roxanne and husband, Joseph Caine; 10 great-grandchildren.
