Ella Hill

Ella (Bowers) Hill, age 87, passed away February 4, 2022 at McLaren Hospital, Flint.
She was born September 11, 1934 in Malden, Missouri to Etta (McElyea) and Gilbert Bowers.  Her family moved to Michigan when she was a small child. She grew up in the Flint area, graduating from Mandeville High School in 1953.  Ella married Dale Hill, Sr. on February 6, 1954. She was a dedicated wife and mother. Ella worked at various women’s apparel stores from the 1950s through the 1980s. She also worked in the pre-school program at Carman-Ainsworth school district for several years. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband and best friend of 61 years, Dale and her sister Betty DeSilva. Ella is survived by her son Dale II and daughter-in-law Christine, grandson Harry, daughter Kathy Hill and son-in-law Gary Carnahan. Memorial service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery chapel, Hill Rd, Grand Blanc on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
