Ella Griffin

GRIFFIN, ELLA Frances - 82, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, November 11, 2021. Services will be held 1PM Monday  November 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Jim Nelson, officiating. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek.

Ella was born June 17, 1939 in Flint, the daughter of Ernest Marshall and Edna (Hogeboom) Dean. She was a 1957 graduate of Kearsley High School and she received a Bachelor's Degree in nursing from Ferris State University. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek.

As a youth she was very active in 4-H and held several state championships and as an adult she enjoyed attending women's bible study groups. Ella retired from Flint Osteopathic Hospital as a RN with 20 years of service then Home Health Care with another 10 years of service.

Surviving are: sons, Dean Griffin of Gaines, Bill Griffin of Ohio, James Griffin of Durand, and Robert Griffin (Melissa) of Lansing; and Deanna Griffin of Durand. 9 grandchildren, Scott (Emily) Griffin, Brian Griffin (Jessica), Andrew Griffin (Alexandra), Blake Griffin, Autumn Griffin (Ben), Paige Griffin, Grace Griffin, Isabella Griffin, and Jack Griffin; 2 great granddaughters, Stella and Zoey Griffin.

Sister-in-law, Carol Dean of Flint; nephew and three nieces, Ernie and Leslie, Pam and John, Barbara and Pat, and Becky.
