Ella J. BUFFMYER

BUFFMYER, Ella J. (Price) - Age 90, of Fenton, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at The Pines of Lake Fenton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St, Fenton, with Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. Ella was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1920 in Linden, the youngest of 10 children born to Charles and Mary (Henry) Price. She was a 1938 graduate of Owosso High School. She married Roy W. Buffmyer August 5, 1939 in Fenton and he preceded her in death October 13, 2008. Ella had worked for Pellets Department Store in Fenton for 20 years and then had worked at Dauner Haus in Fenton as social director for more than 20 years. She has been a life-long resident of Linden and Fenton and is known and loved by many. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. Ella also enjoyed music, gardening and was an avid walker sometimes walking up to 3-5 miles a day until just a few years ago. One of Ella's greatest joys and accomplishments was the creation and her participation in the Dauner Dollies, a musical group of women from the Fenton area. Surviving are: son, James Buffmyer of Fenton; granddaughter, Leann E. Buffmyer-Harris of Fenton; 4 great grandchildren, Jordan, Jason, Jennifer and Joseph Harris; sister-in-law, Rose and husband Dallas Powell; several nieces and nephews.
