VOORHEIS, Elizabeth Louise- Age 82, of Grand Blanc, died Friday, April 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Sunday, 2-8 PM Monday, and 1-2 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc Building Fund. Elizabeth was born November 12, 1933 in Reed City, the daughter of Merritt Smith Cooley and Mary Louise (Baker) Cooley. She married Gerald Henry Voorheis on December 5, 1964 in Grand Blanc. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc. She loved to cook and sew. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Gerald; five children, Victoria (Doug) McIntyre of Burt, Valerie (Richard) Wise of Grayling, Mary (Terry) Carsten of Linden, Monica (Channing) Teed of Flint and David (Robin Hannahs) Voorheis of Beaverton; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Betty) Cooley, Linda (Victor) Todorow; adopted sisters, Pat White and Jane Carr. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Laura; granddaughter, Nikole Mitchell; siblings, Robert Cooley, Rodger Jahn, Faith Verga, Ronald Jahn and John Jahn.
