Elizabeth Marie Mancour

MANCOUR, Elizabeth Marie -- Age 94, of Linden, died February 3, 2007 at Crestmont Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, February 7 at the Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St., Linden, Rev. Parker Smith and Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth was born December 25, 1912 in Linden the daughter of Clifford James Burr and Evangeline A. (Bowles) Burr. She had resided in the Linden area all of her life. She attended Flint Junior College and U of M. She married Kenneth C. Mancour on September 15, 1934 and he preceded her in death March 22, 1955. She then married Harry A. Tenley on January 7, 1966 and he preceded her in death June 22, 1979. She retired from the Linden Schools where she worked for 13 years. She was a member of the O.E.S. # 175 of Linden, the Linden Presbyterian Church, Linden Historical Society, and the Loose Center. Mrs. Mancour played the violin and piano, and in her younger years played with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. Surviving are: children, Beverly Wheatley Eiden, Frederick Burr Mancour, Elizabeth Marie Williams (Robert); son-in-law, Jimmie Smith; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Mancour; grandchildren, Kenneth Paul Wheatley (Tracy), Kim Marie Wheatley, Karen Selley (Scott), William G. Wheatley (Brenda), Donald Smith (Delphine), Janet Belill (Thomas), James Smith (Cena), Suzanne Stephens (Craig), Christine Korzetki (Michael), Brian Kenneth Williams (Amanda), Bethany Gayle Williams; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Burr Powell; sister-in-law, Rosamond Mancour Horn. She was preceded in death by: husband Kenneth C. Mancour; husband, Harry A. Tenley; daughter, Cheryl L. Smith; son, K. Thomas Mancour; and great-great-grandson, Domanic Short.
