Elizabeth Leonard

LEONARD, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" - age 87, of Fenton, died Monday, October 22, 2018. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. Jude Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton with Rev. Tracie Little officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 12 PM Monday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Episcopal Church. Betty was born March 20, 1931 in Highland Park, the daughter of Frederick E. and Elizabeth M. (Mescill) Western. She married Cornelius Leonard on May 27, 1950 and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2014. Betty received a bachelor's degree from Oakland University and retired as a school teacher with Rochester Schools in 1985. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling and boating. She was a member of St. Jude Episcopal Church. Surviving are: six children, Cornelius Leonard IV of Fenton, James (Tonya) Leonard of Texas, Robert (Madelyn) Leonard of Macomb, Dianne (Bill) Douglas of Caseville, Bruce (Cynthia) Leonard of Ohio, and Lois Leonard of New Hudson; 7 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
