BARBER, Elizabeth "Betsey" - Age 87, of Fenton, died Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Services will be at 12 Noon, Friday, November 25, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 503 S Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor Lindsey N. Carnes and Pastor Galen Grulke officiating. Interment will be 4 PM Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be 11 AM until the time of service at the church. Funeral arrangements being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Betsey was born January 13, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of Ralph E. and Ruth (Coombs) Thomas. She was married to Roy Belanger who preceded her in death in July, 1978; she then married Ralph Barber and he preceded her in death March, 2013. Betsey was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. She was also a member of the Fenton Artist Guild and the Fenton Garden Club. Betsey enjoyed playing bridge with her lady friends, water aerobics, painting, and all types of music. Everything reminded her of a song. Betsey is survived by: her daughters, Lisa (Donald) Wilber and Julie (David) Smith; and Ralph's children, Ron (Debbie) Barber, David (Page) Barber, Patricia (John) Fischer; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
