Elise Yvonne Ostrander

OSTRANDER, Elise Yvonne - Age 50, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Rd., Flint with Pastor Steven M. Lockman officiating. Interment will follow in Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday and 1-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for her children's education fund or Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. Elise was born March 15, 1957 in Flint the daughter of James and Lois (Pussehl) Pearson. She was a graduate of Flushing High School. Elise had resided in Swartz Creek for 14 years coming from Flushing. She married George E. Ostrander on May 6, 1989. Elise is survived by her husband, George;  daughters, Kayla and Tori; father, James Pearson of Flushing;  sisters, Suzanne and husband Ron Ringle, Sara Miller and Harold McGowen; brothers, James and wife Sandy Pearson, Frederick Pearson, all of Flushing; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Mary Mandel of Swartz Creek; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Karen Green of Gaines; many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Pearson; and nephew, Joshua Ringle. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Gold and her staff; Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute's chemo treatment staff; nurses at Genesys Health Park; nurse counselor, Diane Welker; special friends, Terrie and Brenda, and her friends and family for their support.
