Eleanor Labanc

LaBanc, Eleanor Marie - Age 84, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Swank House of Swartz Creek. A funeral mass will be held 10AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Father Lewis Ekka celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2PM to 8PM Tuesday, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with a rosary being prayed at 7PM. Visitation will also be held 9AM until time of mass at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Eleanor was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on August 4, 1931 the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Bosela) Christoff. Mrs. LaBanc married Paval "Paul" LaBanc on October 25, 1952, he preceded her in death on October 20, 1999. Eleanor loved to cook and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She was an active and long time member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: daughters, Kathleen (Randy) Huber of Flushing, Paula Verkenners of Flint; son, John LaBanc of Foley, Alabama; grandchildren, Gary Paul (Danielle) Rustin, Kenneth Rustin, Matthew (Jenny) Huber, Lance (Katie) Huber; great grandchildren, Kyler, Gavin, Ashley, Jace, Blake; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Kenneth LaBanc; brother, Richard and sister, Patty.
