Eleanor Ruth KOSKI

KOSKI, Eleanor Ruth, age 89, of Flint, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2012 at Wynwood of Grand Blanc. Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Hope United Methodist Church, G4467 Beecher Rd., Flint. Rev. Jack Amick officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00AM until time of service at church. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial donations may be made to Hope United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice. Eleanor was born October 15, 1922 in Crosby, Minnesota the daughter of the late Matt and Wendla (Erkilla) Hill. She was a 1941 graduate of Ishpeming High School. Eleanor married Harold Koski on March 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1988. Eleanor had lived in Genesee County since 1948. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Big Sisters, past member of Order of Eastern Stars and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Surviving are her son, David Koski of East Lansing; sister-in-law, Judy Cooper of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers, William and Marvin Hill. Special thanks to the staff at Wynwood and Avalon Hospice for their loving care and support.
