Eleanor Lucille HIGHFIELD

HIGHFIELD, Eleanor (Kinney) "Peg" - Age 94, of Fenton, died Sunday, September 12, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Chaplain Dwight Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Mrs. Highfield was born April 13, 1916 in Detroit, the daughter of Ernest and Eleanor (Dawson) Grenier. She married LaVern Highfield October 19, 1957 and he preceded her in death November 18, 1975. She had resided in the Davisburg/Holly area for many years, then in Waterford and Walled Lake before moving to Fenton in 1999. Surviving are: daughter, Nansie (Kinney) and husband Ray Rice of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Kinney of Fenton; 4 grandchildren, Patrick Kinney and Christopher Kinney both of Fenton, Michele Rice Ammond of St. Charles, MO and Lisa Rice Cocking of Orlando, FL; 11 great grandchildren. Peg is also survived by: special step-granddaughter, Carol Hayden and her family of Fenton, as well as many other Highfield family members; and by her dear care giver and friend, Mary Edwards of Fenton.
