CALLAGHAN, Eleanor Louise - Age 91, of Fenton, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the chapel of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton, Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to Almost Home, 305 Furlong Ct, Fenton, MI 48430. Mrs. Callaghan was born June 28, 1918 in Flint, the daughter of Morris and Alice (Allen) Sanders. She was a 1935 graduate of Fenton High School. She married Joseph Daniel Callaghan December 19, 1942 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton and he preceded her in death March 3, 1999. Mrs. Callaghan was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and has resided in Fenton since 1922. Surviving are: 4 children, John Callaghan of Gaines, Dan Callaghan of Perry, Mary and husband Terry Heidtman of Bay City and David Callaghan of Knoxville, TN; 6 grandchildren, Kathy Callaghan, Bill and wife Caren Callaghan, Angela and husband Jim Sharich, Mark Callaghan, Justin and wife Heather Heidtman and Jarrod and wife Heidi Heidtman; 9 great grandchildren; She was also preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Robert, David and Wilbur Sanders.
