McFARLANE, Eldon "Mac" - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, died June 20, 2014. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mac was born November 12, 1927 in Flint, the son of Robert Murray and Gertrude (Lackie) McFarlane. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Fisher Body, where he was a tool and die maker. Mac loved golfing, fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed cooking, especially grilling. He was adventurous, even in his later years and made every family gathering festive. Surviving are: children, Robert (Renee) McFarlane, Barbara McFarlane, Eric (Mary Sue) McFarlane, David McFarlane; grandchildren, Jessi, Kelli, Lyndsey, Austin, Spencer, Dylan, Lane and Logan; great-grandchildren, Caden, Avery and Rhys; sister, Betty (John) Westenbarger; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
