WOODWARD, Elaine May - age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton with Rev. Fr. Timothy MacDonald celebrant. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Tuesday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of mass Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Woodward was born January 23, 1928 in Flint, the daughter of William and Rose (Compea) Halstead. She married Milo Gene Woodward on August 23, 1947. Mrs. Woodward was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and had resided in Swartz Creek since 1983. Surviving are: husband, Milo G. Woodward of Swartz Creek; two daughters, Deverlyn Ann Redlawsk of Swartz Creek, Dene Louise and husband, Mike Lynch of CA; three grandchildren, Dani and Joel Redlawsk, and Conor Lynch; one great-grandchild, Kyle; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Daca Sisler; son-in-law, Donald Sisler; three grandchildren, Todd and Chad Sisler and Shayla Lynch; brother,William Halstead; sister, Rose Thompson.
