Elaine Thomas

THOMAS, Elaine Marie - age 67, of Linden, died Saturday, November 18, 2017. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 PM - 3 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Elaine was born July 22, 1950 in Flint, the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Nellesen) Jakubowski and was a 1968 graduate of Linden High School. She attended Ferris State University, Mott Community College and Michigan State University. Elaine married Bernard Thomas in Fenton on September 7, 1968. She retired from Linden Public Schools after 20 plus years of service where she was a well loved Paraprofessional. Elaine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved following her sons in hockey and other sports. She was their biggest fan. Surviving are: husband, Bernard; two sons, Brian (Toni) Thomas of Almont and Brent (Ginger) Thomas of Fenton; six grandchildren, Ben, Grace, Leah, Rylee, Marion and Zane; sister-in-law, Sally Harris; and many nieces and nephews.
