SIMMONS, Elaine Lois, age 79, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-4 & 6-9 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A vigil service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Right to Life of Fenton. Elaine was born March 28, 1931 in Flint the daughter of the late Emmet and Edna (Tawyea) Dexter. Elaine had lived in Fenton since 1969. She was previously employed as a temporary worker at Buick in the Payroll Department and later at Exotic Rubber and Plastic in Detroit as a keypunch operator. Elaine was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Kaye Hoover of Genesee; 3 grandsons, Charles Hoover III ( Daysi) and Aaron Hoover (Megan) all of of St. Petersburg, Florida, Andrew Hoover of Fenton; great granddaughter, Karinna; sister, Yvonne Patriquin (Gary) of Oxford; brother, Richard Dexter (Connie) of Farmington; several nieces and nephews.
