Elaine Lawcock

LAWCOCK, Elaine Georgia - Age 87 of Flint passed away June 1, 2015 surrounded by her family and close friends. Funeral services will held be 8PM Friday, June 5, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Rev. Jack McMaster officiating. Visitation will be take place from 6-8PM Friday. A celebration of her life to follow at a later date as well as internment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Elaine was born June 3, 1927 the daughter of Elmer and Rhea Anna Decker in Flint. She is a graduate of Flint Northern High School. Elaine married Leon J. Lawcock on March 21, 1953 in Flint. Together, they owned and operated Superior Printing and Office Supply which later became known as Superior Weddings. They served Flint area businesses and brides for over 50 years. Elaine was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Flint and later attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. She loved playing bridge, bowling and traveling the world. She leaves behind her adoring husband of 62 years, Leon, children; Kathy (Ted Lindstrom) Brewer of Rochester Hills, Sheryl (Calvin) Jackman of Johns Creek, GA, Susan (Dean) Marschel of Spring, TX, Leon E. (Lisa) Lawcock of Delaware, OH, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and also dear former exchange student, Monika Hay of Germany.
