CARDINAL, Elaine M. - Age 84, of Fenton, died December 31, 2008. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 309 E. Maple St, Holly. Fr. David Blazek celebrant. Burial will follow Mass at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Friday from 2-8 PM and at church Saturday from 10:00 AM until Mass. Rosary will be prayed at the funeral home 7:00 PM Friday. Contributions may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Elaine was born September 25, 1924 the daughter of the late Peter and Mayme (Mog) Galetto. She married Charles C. Cardinal June 2, 1945 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1987. Surviving are her 5 children, Gail Allen and husband John of Dearborn Heights, Charles Cardinal Jr. and wife Chris of Grand Marais, Richard Cardinal and wife Nanci of Fenton, Robert Cardinal and wife Kathy of Dryden, Kimberly Cruickshank and husband Chris of Rockford; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Galetto and wife Mary Jane of Rochester; 2 sister-in-laws, Viv Cardinal of Farmington Hills, Pat Cardinal of Livonia; many nieces, nephews and friends.
