Effie Elaine Ringler

RINGLER Effie Elaine - age 91, of Flint Township, passed away July 25, 2024. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, July 26, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. A private interment service will be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Effie was born January 4, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of Robert Bruce and Thelma (Duford) Laird. She was married to John Junior Ringler and he preceded her in death in November of 1989. Effie retired from the Trust Department of Citizens Bank in Flint. She had resided at Canadian Lakes in Mecosta and then Woodhaven Senior Living in Flint Township for the last 12 years. Effie was always on the go, she enjoyed crocheting, cards, bingo and the casinos. Surviving are: three children, Kathleen Martin, Gregory (Kaye) Ringler, and Coleen (Carl) Kajder; nine grandchildren, Justin (Andrea) Ringler, Travis (Casey) Ringler, Karen (George Bean) Ray, Erin (Justin) Bartholomew, Christine Cooper, Jeremy Goade, Eric (Ashley) Kajder, Adam Kajder, and Nicholas (Krystle Baecker) Kajder; 11 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Louis Coggins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Laird; husband, John Junior Ringler; daughter, Paula Cooper; sons-in-law, Richard Martin and Dennis Cooper; sister, Sherry Coggins; brother, Richard Laird; special friend, Roger Coggins.
