Edwina DEBOW

DEBOW, Edwina Orpha (Welch) - age 88, of Linden, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Crestmont Health Care Facility. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Smith Hill Cemetery in Otisville. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Mrs. Debow was born October 13, 1922 in Otter Lake, MI, the daughter of Hugh V. and Millie (Knickerbocker) Howell. She was a graduate of Otter Lake High School and married Billie R. Welch on January 16, 1941 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1974. She then married Bud Debow in 1978 and he preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Debow lived in Otisville for many years and Gladwin for 10 years before moving to Linden with her son. Surviving are: four sons, Thomas (Lynne) Welch of Muskegon, James Welch of Frankenmuth, Robert (Connie) Welch of Flint, Billie (Jeanne) Welch, Jr. of Linden; six grandchildren, Christy (Matt) Spencer, Chad (Laurie) Welch, Larrisa Welch and fiance, Scooter, Megan (Brian) Kohls, Tommy Welch and fiancee, Bethany, Brett (Brandi) Renshaw, step-grandson, Chris (Michelle) Buzzell; many great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beatrice; brother, Max and grandson, Corey Welch. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Crestmont.
