Edwin Odle Jr.

Odle, Edwin Henry Jr. - Age 93, of Petoskey, formerly of Flushing, died February 10, 2022. Services will be held 2:30 PM Monday March 28, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek.

Edwin was born March 22, 1928 in Flint the son of Edwin Henry and Dorothy Louise (Siegel) Odle Sr. He was a graduate of Kearsley High School.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and member of the Flushing VFW.

Dad enjoyed up north family time, hunting, fishing and wood working.

During our times together he worked at AC Spark Plug division and retired after 32 years.  During this time he also worked for Genesee County Marine Patrol and body recovery.  Later he found joy in working odd jobs as a food demonstrator here and there; he liked to be busy.

There is an empty spot for many of us rather big or small.  Goodbye to our father, grandpa, uncle and friend to many through his travels in life.

Edwin is survived by his children, Dorothy "Dolly" Hunt, Lisa Odle, Eddie Odle, Jim Hill, Jean Ferris, John Hill, Perry Hill, Mitchell Hill, Mark (Odle) Easterly, and Greg(Odle)Easterly; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren from all walks of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma "Jean" Odle; former wife, Leona Odle; son, Steven Allen Hill; sister, Virginia Deaton; brother, Robert L. Odle. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
