Edwin Perry Compton

COMPTON, Edwin Perry  Age 55, of Durand, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Monday. October 27, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint; Rev. Walt Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-5 & 7-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the ALS Foundation. Edwin was born May 27, 1948 in Muskegon, the son of Perry and Dorothy (Boss) Compton. Ed loved playing pool and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are: wife, Sandra; five children, Tammy and husband Woody, Ron and wife Kari, Mechele, Tim and Chris; 13 grandchildren; mother, Dorothy; brother, Lloyd; sister, Linda; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  Mr. Compton was preceded in death by his father; and daughter, Lorrie.
