Ned was born June 22, 1952 in West Branch the son of Robert and Margaret (Palmer) Steep. He was raised in the West Branch and Bay City areas and had resided in Flint for 25 years, most recently moving to Linden. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Linda Sue Norgan on November 13, 1971 in Bay City. Ned was the most remarkable husband, father, brother, and friend to all those who were both blessed and privileged to have him in their life. One of his greatest loves in life was to deer hunt with his family and friends. Not just for the sport, but the time he spent with those he loved. He always cherished his memories of deer hunting in Greenville and West Branch over the years. These are memories his children, nephews, and brother will have forever. Ned loved gardening and bird watching, not because he was an avid gardener or bird watcher, but because he knew how much joy it brought Linda. He will always be remembered as an incredible person who would give everything, but never ask for anything in return. Ned had so much energy that he could fill a room with debate, conversation and laughter, all at the same time. His family and friends consider this to be one of the greatest blessings. He will always be remembered for his devotion to those who he loved and for his integrity, honesty and courage.  Surviving are: his wife of 33 years, Linda; children, Michelle and Jason Forcier of Fenton, Christopher and Jackie Steep of Minneapolis, MN; mother, Margaret Steep of Bay City; brother, Jeffery and Connie Steep of West Branch; sisters, Ann Salinas of Bay City, Terry Oginsky and husband Michael Centala of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Steep; and brother-in-law, Victor Salinas. Neds family would like to give special thanks to the Karmanos Bone Marrow Transplant Team and Detroit Medical Center ICU Team for their outstanding care. Dad you will always be loved by your family more than you could ever know. You have left your special mark in each of our hearts. We will never forget your promise that you will always be with us in spirit. Friends may post a tribute to Ned at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
