Edward Starr

STARR, Edward Phillip - Age 94, of Flint Township, died Sunday, January 10, 2016. Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial immediately following in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the PLAV. Edward was born May 1, 1921 in Gaines Township, the son of Teafil and Nalerija (Hada) Gwiazda. He was a graduate of Mary Crapo High School in Swartz Creek. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Edward married Rosemary Adams July 10, 1948 in Swartz Creek and she preceded him in death September 26, 1983; he then married Irene Novak June 23, 1984 in Flint. He retired from Montgomery Wards as a TV repairman. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the PLAV. Surviving are: his wife, Irene; 5 children, Michael Starr of Burton, Richard and wife Alice Starr, Daniel and wife Deli Starr of San Antonio, TX, Ronald and wife Lori Starr of Flint, and Cynthia and husband Wilfredo Esperon of San Antonio, TX; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
