Edward Ronders

RONDERS, Edward Louis - Age 74, of Fenton, died Sunday, May 3, 2020.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Edward was born February 26, 1946 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of William and Helen (Balogh) Ronders.  He received a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University in journalism and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Edward married Janet Kay Erler June 1, 1984 in Davison at St. John Catholic Church.  He had worked for the Davison Index before moving on to a position as a writer at the Flint Journal.  After retiring from the Flint Journal, Ed started and served as Director of VetBiz. He ended his career as Director of Veteran Affairs for Lapeer County. Edward was a member of North Branch American Legion Post #457 and the Davison V.F.W. Post #4087.  He enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing, and watching all sports.

Edward’s survivors are: his wife, Janet; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Joe Swedorske of Fenton Township; sisters, Ann Marie Ronders of California and Val Walton of Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
