PETRUSKA, Edward H. - age 85, of Fenton, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in Novi. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12:30 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David W. Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. He received a bachelors degree form Notre Dame University and his Masters degree from the University of Michigan. Mr. Petruska married Nancy Dunn on August 28, 1954 in Flint. He retired from Fenton Public Schools after 29 years of service as a teacher, guidance counselor and Assistant Principal. Mr. Petruska was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he served as an usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Michigan Association of Retired School Teachers. Surviving are: wife of 54 years, Nancy; four children, Edward J. Petruska of Casa Grande, AZ, Catherine and husband, Jeffrey Fox of Springboro, OH, Steven Petruska and wife, Jill of Oakland, MI, James Petruska and wife, Judi of Northville, MI; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Bill and Henry Petruska of Niles.
