PARISH, Edward Earl -- Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Brians House Hospice in Davison. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Swartz Creek Church of Christ, 4410 S. Seymour Rd., Swartz Creek, Minister Mark Aites officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek Church of Christ. Mr. Parish was born December 16, 1924 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the son of Claude Edward and Pearl H. (Scruggs) Parish. He was a 1942 graduate of Bendle High School and attended G.M.I. and Flint Junior College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII and Korea. Mr. Parish was married to Ina 'Othelda' Huskey on April 8, 1948 in Flint; she preceded him in death April 11, 1994. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1965 and was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ. Mr. Parish was employed by the City of Flint as an appraiser retiring in 1980. Surviving are: four children, Edward and wife, Martha Parish of Lakeview, MI, Dennis Parish of Houston, TX, Debbie Rike of Arlington, TN, Gail Webster of Bloomfield Hills; daughter-in-law, Wanda Parish; six grandchildren, Jeremey Parish, Adam Parish, Alexis Hatfield, Kevin Parish, Amanda Rike, Rachel Webster; three sisters, Willadean and husband, Carl Hecker of Ft. WOrth, TX, Barbara Kist of Searcey, AR, Joan Summers of Zephyrhills, FL; sister-in-law, Marian Parish. He was also preceded in death by: daughter, Cheryl Parish in 1994 and brother, Don Parish.
