MORGAN, Edward "Eddie" Nelson Jr. - age 75, died June 14, 2015. A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 PM on Saturday, June 20 at Sharp Funeral Homes 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, 48473. A second celebration of life will occur on June 21, at Miami County Fair Grounds in Troy, OH. Eddie was born in Piqua, Ohio on January 23, 1940. He was the son of Edward Sr. and Winifred (Davis) Morgan. He was married to his wife, Sharon (Palmer) for forty eight years. Eddie was a sixth generation horseman, his life's work was racing throughout the country. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and was inducted into the MHHA Hall of Fame for his dedication and efforts as a horse trainer and driver. Eddie is survived by his wife, Sharon of Leslie, MI, six children, Tony (Penny) Morgan of Warwick, MD, Greg Morgan of Ohio, Jenny Morgan of Alabama, Joe Morgan of Alabama , Kathy Smith of Wiliamston, MI, and Elizabeth (Robert) Morgan-Smith of Wauwatosa, WI. Brothers Tom (Sue) Morgan and Charlie (Dorothy) Morgan. Eddie is survived by his best friends, Margaret Rousseau and Penny Howard and numerous cherished friends. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathy Garrett.
