LOTZ, Edward Theodore - age 93, of Holly, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 3 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 1 PM - 3 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Lotz was born February 19, 1921 in Watertown, WI, the son of Milton and Bessie (Harmon) Lotz. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Lotz married Esther Hoffman on August 16, 1957 and she preceded him in death on December 13, 2009. He retired from Advance Electric as the treasurer and controller. Mr. Lotz was the former treasurer of the Optimist Club for several years. He enjoyed sports, bowling and golf. He was well known locally as a sports memorabilia collector. Surviving are: son, David (Beverly) Lotz of Yigo, Guam; grandson, Jonathan (Angie) Lotz of Independence, MO; twin great-grandsons, Carlton and Theodore Lotz of Independence, MO; three sisters, Delores Loftin of Tulsa, OK, Donna Kinda-Gappa of Branson West, MO, Carol (James) Colter of Mesa, AZ; and his dog, Coco. He was also preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Richard and Kenneth Lotz; 2 sisters, Helen Drew and Mary Popanz and his first wife, Clarice Lotz.
