LEECE, Edward Otis  Age 86, of Lake Fenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McLaren Hospice. Edward was born October 31, 1917, to Otis and Effie Leece in Ortonville, MI. He was a 1935 graduate of Fenton High School. He married Marion Lawson on September 22, 1939 and they would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this month. He was the proud and loving father of James E. Leece and wife Pamela of Grand Blanc, Jerry R. Leece and wife Kim of Holly, Joanne M. Kundinger and husband Tom of Neenah, WI, Jeffery W. Leece and wife Debbie of Fenton, and John L. Leece and wife Claudia of Davisburg. He was the brother of Raymond James Leece, Robert B. Leece. Edward is the grandfather of 15, and great-grandfather of 5. His father and mother, Otis and Effie Leece; his brothers Raymond (Jim) and Robert; and his grandson, John A. Kundinger preceded him in death. Edward was a partner in the former Genesee Cigarette Company. He then went on to be owner of Trio Laundry and A1 Vending. He enjoyed fishing, golf, hunting, tinkering in his basement with his woodworking, and spending time in the spring in Fort Myers Beach, Florida walking the beaches. He truly loved taking care of his home on Lake Fenton and watching his children and grandchildren partake in all the water sports. His and Marions home has always been a welcomed gathering place for the entire family and their friends. Edward, even though you are absent, you are not forgotten.
