HUYCK, Edward Charles -- Age 78, of Flint, died January 15, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Thursday, January 20 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G3139 Hogarth Ave, Flint, Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday with a rosary to be prayed at 6 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Mr. Huyck was born November 23, 1932 in Flint the son of Clarence Earl and Eva Marie Ann Amanda (Couillard) Huyck. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Beverly Jean Cardinal on November 1, 1959 in Mt. Morris. Mr. Huyck worked as a master mechanic for 40 years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting antique mantle clocks and woodworking. He was a kind and loving man and lived for his family. Surviving are: wife Beverly; two children, Edward Huyck Jr. of Flint; Julie Ann (Michael) Cemazar of Fenton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother James Huyck; sister Marie Rodabaugh of Flint; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Winnie, Elaine, and Betty; and two brothers Calvin and Raymond. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
